Kennel Chilito was established in Trondheim, Norway, by sisters Line Celius and Toril Moan in 2004.
Before the purchase of her first chihuahua, Line was showing and breeding German Shepherds for several years under another affix. The sisters discovered the chihuahua breed while Toril studied to become a veterinary surgeon in Budapest, Hungary.

During the years, three dedicated women joined the team, helping out at dog shows, and co-owning dogs. In 2008, Lene Rongevær, Anniken Holtnæs and Kine Bratsberg joined the kennel officially and became co-owners of the name. This means that Kennel Chilito is actually situated in three different areas of Norway; Trondheim, Bergen and Oslo.

Our main interest is showing dogs. We travel both nationally and abroad to attend as many dog shows as possible,and to handle as many dogs as possible.  Our goal for breeding is to produce healthy, goodnatured dogs, which are show-ring winners. We choose combinations were we hope to produce puppies to keep within the kennel. Puppies which are good enough to help us fulfill our ideology and goal for further breeding. We are proud to own Norway’s two top winning chihuahuas, and hope to continue the success with self-produced puppies in the future.

Line Celius
Lives in Trondheim with her boyfriend and 3 children. In 2004 she founded Kennel Chilito together with her sister Toril. Before her interest in chihuahuas began, she was a dedicated breeder and exhibitor of german shepards, under the affix “Zupra”. She now has 1 chihuahua and 1 german shepard at home.

Toril Moan
Also the founder of Kennel Chilito. She lives in Trondheim with her boyfriend and 3 chihuahuas. She studied veterinary medicine in Budapest and started working for the Norwegian Food Safety Authority after she graduated. Since then she has also had a private practice, she now works as a veterinary at a clinic in Trondheim. Toril is also a member of the Chihuahua Breeding Council.

Kine Bratsberg
Works as a dental assistent and lives in Bergen with her boyfriend, 2 children and 2 chihuahuas. She has had chihuahuas since 2004 and in 2006 she bought a chihuahua together with Toril and the partnership was founded. Kine is also an active member of her local dog club.

Anniken Holtnæs
Anniken lives in Oslo with her boyfriend and 2 chihuahuas. She works on a kennel / dog hotel and usually have fourlegged guests at home as well. She is a member of the board of the Norwegian Chihuahua Club and the breeding council and she is also educated in dog training and nutrition and got her first chihuahua in 2005.

Lene Rongevær
Lives in Lier with her 2 chihuahuas, and studies to become a real estate broker. She has had chihuahuas since 2005 and in 2006 she bought a chihuahua together with Line and so the partnership was founded. Her main interest is showing chihuahuas, and that has taken her to dog shows in many different countries.
